Vijayadashami (Bengali: বিজয়াদশমী, Kannada: ವಿಜಯದಶಮಿ, Malayalam: വിജയദശമി, Marathi: विजयादशमी, Nepalese: विजया दशमी, Oriya: ବିଜୟାଦଶମୀ, Tamil: விஜயதசமி, Telugu: విజయదశమి, Konkani: दसरो, Pendjabi: ਦਸੇਰਾ) also called Dashahara, Dussehra, Dashain, Navratri or Durgotsav, is a Hindu festival, very popular in northern India, Nepal and Bangladesh. It is celebrated on the tenth day of Navratri. This day celebrates the victory of Rāma over the demon Rāvana.
