Essay about english class experience . It was August 16, 2014, my first day of my English 28 course. I walked in the door expecting this class to be the most dreadful unappealing course ever. In previous classes I would stare at the clock, watching each second pass by wondering when class was finally going to be over. I walked in and was a little timid because there were so many people in the class.

Throughout my academic life, I always thought writing was directly related to an English class however, the most important thing I learned was that the skills you acquire in English courses, will be extremely beneficial to you in the long run. Whether it is writing a resume, a business letter, an essay in another class, or as apart of your job description, knowing how to write, is always a must. The first thing I learned was the writing process or as known as PODRE. William J. Kelly in “Simple, Clear, And Correct Paragraphs”, states “A paragraph is also the result of working through stages of the writing process. These stages, prewriting, composing, and revising are explained in Chapters 2-4.”(3) These techniques tremendously helped me in all the essays and paragraphs I had to write this semester.

This course has really helped me grow as a person. I have met some really cool new people. My confidence in writing is off the charts, and I actually enjoy writing! I can now use all the information I have attained this semester, and put it to everyday use. I wouldn’t have been able to do it if it weren’t for my lovely classmates, my attentive professor, and William J Kelly.

So I always tried to pay attention, which improves my writing, and I have learned a lot about my classmates during the process. I hope in my future English class; I want to learn more about new, different technique to improve my writing.

It is amazing how I was able to learn so much in so little time. After reading over some of my classmates’ papers I learned they made some of the same mistakes as me.
What stage of the writing process gives you the most difficulty? What is more, there are, it must be said, I am the epitome of this group of procrastinators.
Now, before I start writing an essay, I outline what I want to say in each paragraph. These two articles argue that online classes should not supplant the class experience because online classes “reconceive knowledge as information” (Brommel,73).
What I learned from this course can definitely not only just improve my writing skills in the future, but also help me excel in the real world. I spent countless nights where I would just stare at my computer screen having no idea what to write, but practice makes perfect.
To have progress in your writing I feel as though as you have to taken every experience with full force, and that’s what I did this semester. In setting goals for myself I do believe that it gave me a chance to do what was expected of me as far as my goals went.
I am not sure what I am good at, despite my strange command of the English language and my privileged position in higher education. It turns out, I did learn a lot about what I want to know more about.
I feel that the wealth of information that I have learned from English 1010 will help me with other classes as I continue my education. However, the information that I have learned in English 1010 has helped me to overcome these challenges.
The writer also hopes that through recordings she can derive how students check and correct their writings each other and what types of mistakes are corrected most. This study has given me a chance to know more about my students, about what goes wrong with them when they are not engaged in my reading class.
